LAKELAND, Fla. – James and Jessica McCann always had this week circled on their calendar, the week pitchers and catchers report to Detroit Tigers spring training, but this week carried more meaning than ever before.
Last August, the couple announced they were expecting twins. But two weeks later, they were informed the pregnancy — like many twin pregnancies — was considered high-risk. And thus began the story of their whirlwind winter, one that tested their faith and fortitude like no other.
They moved from Arkansas to Nashville. They only had one vehicle. And on Dec. 6, their twin boys, Christian and Kane, were born two months before their due date of Feb.
