Tigers’ Castellanos seeks consistency at third, plate

He was on his way back from Disney World, cruising along Florida’s Turnpike following a few days of merriment with his wife, Vanessa, and son, Liam, and Nick Castellanos was thinking about 2016.

And about those new players the Tigers have added to their roster, a month before spring camp opens in Lakeland, Fla.

“Jordan Zimmermann is a bulldog,” Castellanos said Wednesday, speaking of a blessed right-handed starter the Tigers had made part of their offseason rotation and bullpen bolstering. “Mark Lowe has some of the best stuff going, and K-Rod (Francisco Rodriguez) and his record speak for themselves.
