DETROIT -- On Friday night, fans at Comerica Park booed Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus as he walked onto the field to yank Bruce Rondon; booed Rondon as he walked off the field; and then booed Ausmus again as he walked back to the dugout a few moments later.
It was that kind of night.
Seven days ago, Bruce Rondon struck out two batters and breezed through a scoreless eighth in a close game at Minnesota.
A day later, he did the same.
Since then, things haven't been so rosy. On Friday, he gave up two singles and then a three-run home run to Josh Reddick.
