Tigers avoid arbitration with 3 players, but Jose Iglesias still unsigned

The Detroit Tigers have agreed to one-year contracts with right fielder Nicholas Castellanos and relievers Alex Wilson and Shane Greene, avoiding arbitration.

Shortstop Jose Iglesias remains unsigned for 2018. If the Tigers can't reach an agreement on a new deal before hearings next month, it will be the first time since 2002 that a Tiger player has gone through the arbitration process.

The two sides are $1.2 million apart, with the Tigers offering $5.6 million and Iglesias seeking $6.8 million, according to Jon Heyman.

Castellanos signed for $6.05 million, Heyman reported. Wilson signed for $1.
