Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus praises Anthony Gose's defensive potential in centerfield but admits he’s not sure where Gose will play next season -- in center or leftfield -- after the addition of Cameron Maybin.
Ausmus spoke about the subject near the end of the "TigerTalk" radio show on WXYT-FM (97.1) with Dan Dickerson and Pat Caputo on Tuesday night.
Ausmus said that Gose “has the ability to be a Gold Glove-type centerfielder.” But he added: “Now, I don’t know if he’ll play center or left this year. But if you have Cameron Maybin in center and Gose in left, you got two guys that can cover that large” outfield at Comerica Park.
