Tigers add another veteran utility player on minor-league deal

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have added yet another potential utility player to the spring training roster.

The Tigers have signed infielder/outfielder Alexi Amarista to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training. Amarista confirmed the signing to Venezuelan journalist Cesar Sequera Ramos, who first reported the news.
