DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers added three players on Sunday, including outfield prospect Christin Stewart.
Stewart, 24, a first-round draft pick in 2015, will be the Tigers' everyday left fielder for the final three weeks of the season, manager Ron Gardenhire said, although he was not in the starting lineup Sunday due to his last-minute arrival.
In addition to Stewart, the Tigers also selected the contract of veteran catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia and recalled right-handed reliever Zac Reininger.
Gardenhire said the Tigers don't plan on adding any more position players, but they will add two or three more pitchers in the coming days.
