Blaine Hardy pitched 5 1⁄3 innings of one-run ball to lead the Detroit Tigers against the Chicago White Sox Sunday, completing the series sweep and extending Detroit’s winning streak to five games.
With Francisco Liriano set to return from the disabled list this week, the Tigers are deciding whether to move the left-handed Hardy to the bullpen or carry a six-man rotation. But Hardy didn’t let uncertainty about his future distract him from the task at hand, scattering six hits with only a Matt Davidson solo home run crossing home plate.
