Three Nick Castellanos errors cost Tigers in 7-3 loss to White Sox

Detroit Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos wanted the next play.

He had just botched a tailor-made groundball double play in the top of the eighth inning Friday night and he wanted to put it behind him as soon as possible.

There were runners on first and second base. The score was tied.

After another outstanding pitch by Alex Wilson, he got his wish.

Castellanos didn’t get what he wanted, though. Instead, a hard-hit top-spinner off the bat of Avisail Garcia went off his glove, the bases were now loaded and three batters later, his third error of the game would prove costly in a 7-3 loss to the White Sox.
