Detroit Tigers right-hander John Schreiber felt the pressure.
Dominant in Double-A, Schreiber couldn't handle the majors in 13 appearances last season. He had a 6.23 ERA, 1.538 WHIP and allowed four home runs in 13 innings.
Hoping to reverse his fortunes in spring training, he failed yet again with a 6.75 ERA in four innings over five games. And for the first half of summer camp, after nearly four months off, little had improved.
