On Sunday, Jack Morris will get a standing ovation.
In honor of his recent induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, the longtime Tigers’ ace will have his No. 47 retired in a ceremony before Sunday’s game against the Twins at Comerica Park. During this weekend’s series, Morris’ number has been mowed into the center field grass. On Saturday, his Hall of Fame plaque was on display inside the Tigers clubhouse.
