Happy Monday, friends, and welcome to the first full week of baseball for the 2025 season. Things didn’t go great for the Tigers this weekend (though if we ignore the outcome, considering they were playing the Megazord of baseball teams, they actually looked very good and I’m excited to see them play a normal team!)
The weekend saw some big discussion points, the biggest one being the Yankees’ special “torpedo” bats, which we’ll get into below. Jack Flaherty might be the only person to get a World Series ring from the team he just lost pitching to, and then Jonathan India had a scary moment in a game between the Guardians and Royals.
