The Detroit Tigers final roster decisions came with a few minor surprises on Wednesday. Spencer Torkelson’s strong spring and the fact that he’s down to his final option this year made that an easy call, and the slugger did indeed make the team. Utilityman Ryan Kreidler also landed a job based on his strong spring and ability to play some center field. However, veteran relievers Jason Foley and Andrew Chafin did not, and they were both optioned to Toledo along with Justyn-Henry Malloy.
As it stands the starting bullpen appears to be Tyler Holton, Will Vest, Tommy Kahnle, John Brebbia, Brenan Hanifee, Beau Brieske, and Kenta Maeda.
