Like their parent club, the Hens pulled out a victory in a bullpen game on Thursday, but it was a close run thing. In the third inning, Christin Stewart walked, took third on a Chris Proctor single, and scored on a Zack Short ground out. No further runs would cross home until the ninth.
Wladimir Pinto started this one and went 2 2⁄3 scoreless innings with two hits and two walks allowed. He struck out three. Drew Carlton allowed just two baserunners in 2 1⁄3 innings, followed by two scoreless from Buck Farmer and one from Angel de Jesus.
