Big hitters Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez weren't there. And expectations for the upcoming season are bleak. But Detroit Tigers fans didn't care.

"We are longtime Tigers fans, do or die -- doesn't matter," said Michelle Blum, 55, of Clinton Township.

She and her husband, Randy, were among thousands who bought tickets to TigerFest Saturday at Comerica Park, where the team opens up the ballpark to give fans an early peek, 61 days before Opening Day.
