DETROIT -- On the night the Tigers honored members of their 1968 team on the field for their World Series victory over the Cardinals, the current team delivered some late-inning drama for a second consecutive game. Victor Reyes ran off the Tigers' fourth consecutive victory, dashing home on a Bud Norris wild pitch with the bases loaded for a 4-3 win over the Cards on Saturday night at Comerica Park.
Matthew Boyd delivered a performance against the Cards that fellow Tigers lefty Mickey Lolich could appreciate, racking up a career-high 11 strikeouts over seven strong innings to carry a 3-1 lead to Detroit's bullpen.
