Royals 12, Tigers 1: Randy Wolf finally melts down

On the back of four home runs, the Royals pounded the Tigers into submission to maintain their 12-game stranglehold on the AL Central. The Tigers dropped to 61-71 on the season, 20 games out of first place.

Randy Wolf took the loss as he allowed eight runs in 3 u2154 innings, and Guido Knudson would allow four more. He allowed a home run to Kendrys Morales, which scored two of Wolf's runners. Knudson re-entered the game in the fifth but couldn't record an out, and served up another home run to Cheslor Cuthbert in the process.
