DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers television analyst Rod Allen broke his silence late Thursday night amid reports that he had physically attacked his longtime colleague in the midst of a dispute.
"I've always conducted myself as an honorable professional and I always will," Allen tweeted on Thursday.
He added that he couldn't comment further "because this is a personnel matter."
Television station WDIV in Detroit was first to report that Allen "attacked" play-by-play man Mario Impemba and put him in a choke hold, a charge that Allen's agent vigorously denied.
Both broadcasters were pulled from Wednesday's broadcast after the incident Tuesday night in Chicago.
