The Detroit Tigers reportedly have settled on a pitching coach.
Rich Dubee, who has served 13 seasons as a major league pitching coach – most notably with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2005-13 -- will take over from the retired Jeff Jones, according to mlb.com's Jason Beck.
Dubee, 58, most recently was the Atlanta Braves' minor league pitching coordinator.
The hiring has not been confirmed by the Tigers but could be announced as soon as today.
Dubee is familiar with the Tigers' front office. He served as the Florida Marlins' pitching coach in 1998-2001, working under Jim Leyland in Dubee's first season.
