The final piece of the Detroit Tigers’ starting rotation is in sight.
The Tigers have a deal in place with right-handed starter Mike Pelfrey, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman. The terms of the deal are unknown, but the New York Post’s Joel Sherman reported it’s a two-year deal for $18 million.
Pelfrey is taking a physical today, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
