The Tigers satisfied one member of their arbitration-eligible list Wednesday when national writer Jon Heyman reported the team had reached agreement with reliever Justin Wilson on a 2016 salary of $1.52 million.
Wilson came to the Tigers in a December deal with the Yankees that sent prospect pitchers Luis Cessa and Chad Green to New York.
Wilson, 28, and a left-hander, had a sparkling 2015 season for the Yankees. He was 5-0 in 74 games, with a 3.10 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP.
This is his second arbitration-eligible season. Wilson’s salary last season was $556,000.
The deadline is Friday for teams and arbitration-eligible players to exchange salary figures.
