Rajai inherited mom's work ethic, athleticism

Rajai Davis was 10 years old when he told his mother he wanted to be a Major League Baseball player. His mother did everything she could to let him chase it.

"She said you can do anything you want," he recalled. "You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. And your parents, if they say that, it's like the biggest thing in your life."

Diane Davis was a sprinter in high school, and her kids inherited her foot speed, which explains a lot about Rajai Davis today. She devoted her work to a worthy cause, spending her days working with disadvantaged kids near their home in Connecticut.
