Whether it was coincidence or not, this was beautiful.
Since Aretha Franklin's death last week, the Comerica Park scoreboard has repeatedly displayed a tribute to Franklin, with the word "Respect" next to a picture of the Queen of Soul.
On Tuesday, something incredible happened: During a moment of silence for Franklin before the Detroit Tigers-Chicago Cubs game, a rainbow appeared, arcing over the scoreboard during a moment of silence.
Free Press education reporter Lori Higgins was at the game. She photgraphed the rainbow and said Franklin songs were also playing between innings.
