Placido Polanco recalls joy-filled run that put Tigers in World Series

Placido Polanco was the MVP of the American League Championship Series that put the Detroit Tigers into the 2006 World Series, but it was the joy of running the bases that still sticks with him.

Polanco was on base when Magglio Ordonez hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning in Game 4 to defeat the Oakland Athletics, 6-3, and clinch the pennant. Video clips show Polanco running, jumping and arms waving as he circled third base.

It's a great moment in Tigers history.

"I remember it because I didn't know what to do," Polanco said.
