Detroit — Talk about flipping the script.
Six days ago, White Sox starting pitcher Miguel Gonzalez pitched six perfect innings against the Tigers in a 7-3 win in Chicago. Tigers starter Jordan Zimmermann that day was tagged for seven runs, including three home runs.
The two hooked up again Saturday at Comerica Park. The Tigers scored six times and hit three home runs off Gonzalez while Zimmermann cruised, and the Tigers posted their third straight win, 10-1.
“The last few days we’ve been able to get our bats going,” said Gene Lamont, who managed the club after Brad Ausmus was ejected in the first inning.
