How bad will the Detroit Tigers be in 2018?
Most prognosticators won't weigh in until closer to Opening Day. But with a week to go until pitchers and catchers report to spring training and a slew of free agents still unsigned, USA Today has offered some early predictions.
It's not pretty for the Tigers.
The newspaper's team of baseball writers and editors predicts that the Tigers will go 63-99 in 2018 -- almost identical to last year's 64-98 record.
That was the worst record in the American League in 2017 and would be the worst record again in 2018, by USA Today's projection.
