Selfishly, Jack Morris always wondered what it would look like.
He would come to Comerica Park in his post-playing days and look at the brick wall beyond left-center field, with the names Kaline and Cobb, Gehringer and Greenberg, Horton and Newhouser. He never knew if Sunday afternoon would come, but know this about Morris: He always believed he deserved to be on that same wall — the same way believed for more than 15 years he deserved to be voted by the baseball writers into the Hall of Fame.
