DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers scored three runs off former teammate Bruce Rondon in the eighth inning, taking the series opener with the Chicago White Sox in a come-from-behind 5-4 victory Friday night at Comerica Park.
Nicholas Castellanos drove home the tying run with a sharp double to left, then scored the go-ahead run on a Jeimer Candelario's bloop single.
Castellanos went 3-for-4 on the night and also contributed two superb defensive plays in right field. He got an assist in the fifth inning when he cleanly fielded Daniel Palka's hard hit off the wall and fired it in to second base on one bounce to get Palka.
