If there was one thing to remember about the Tigers’ latest beat-down on Tuesday night, it was the way Gary Sanchez hit a baseball nearly 500 feet to left-centerfield.
It was awesome to watch, the way the Yankees catcher disposed of a Matt Boyd change-up into the deepest part of Comerica Park.
The rest of the game was not so awesome to watch.
Boyd (5-7) was bad, as was the Tigers’ offense, and the team was throttled by the Yankees, 13-4.
The left-hander lasted just one out into the third inning, allowing seven runs on seven hits.
