After years of planning, officials plan to open a new youth ballpark at the site of the old Tiger Stadium at Michigan and Trumbull Avenue in Detroit later this month.
Officials plan to cut the ribbon for The Corner Ballpark and the Willie Horton Field of Dreams in a Saturday, March 24 ceremony from 10 a.m. to noon.
Two high school baseball games are scheduled to take place on the new turf field that afternoon.
