MINNEAPOLIS – The last time the Detroit Tigers were at Target Field, they lost.
They lost badly, 7-1. Their starting pitcher didn't last long and their offense didn't do much and they hobbled into the All-Star break losers in three of four games to the upstart Twins.
A lot has changed off the field over the past two months. But much was the same on the field tonight when they were blasted by the Twins, 7-1, in the opener of a three-game set.
Left-hander Kyle Lobstein lasted just one-plus innings, allowing four runs in the first inning and two in the second.
