LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Detroit Tigers still remember how to win, and even in meaningless games in March, it feels better than the alternative.
Propelled by a strong outing from Mike Pelfrey and two key doubles by Omar Infante, the Tigers beat the New York Mets 4-3 Sunday at Joker Marchant Stadium.
It was just the fourth win of the Grapefruit League season and the Tigers' first since March 1.
THREE STARS
* Mike Pelfrey: He pitched three perfect innings in relief, by far his best outing of the spring.
* Omar Infante: The Tigers second baseman made two nice plays in the field.
