Miggy tossed after arguing called strike three

DETROIT -- American League batting leader Miguel Cabrera was ejected from Wednesday night's Tigers-Royals game after arguing a called third strike in the fourth inning.

Cabrera's seventh career ejection, oddly enough, came from third-base umpire and crew chief Gary Cederstrom, not home-plate umpire Quinn Wolcott, who made the call on Yordano Ventura's 99-mph full-count fastball leading off the inning. MLB.com's Gameday showed the pitch around the upper portion of the inside corner.

Cabrera, who singled off Ventura in the first inning, was incredulous, and made his displeasure with Wolcott known, still holding the bat as he spun around with his head tilted up.
