Michael Fulmer trade talk persists, but Ian Kinsler deal appears more likely

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Reports Tuesday morning that the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers were interested in trading for starting pitcher Michael Fulmer were true to a certain extent.

Yes, teams are calling the Detroit Tigers about Fulmer.

Yes, the Tigers are listening.

However, general manager Al Avila insisted on Tuesday night, the Tigers are no closer to dealing their young ace.

"For us, it just pays to listen and see what's out there," he said.

The Tigers appear far closer to trading second baseman Ian Kinsler, who they have been shopping this winter.
