DETROIT -- Maybe the Detroit Tigers should have another meeting before Sunday's game.
The Tigers easily dispatched the Toronto Blue Jays 11-1 Saturday night at Comerica Park shortly after a team meeting in the clubhouse.
It's unlikely that a few words spoken during the 15-minute, closed-door session in the clubhouse convinced the Tigers to start scoring more runs. But after Friday's ugly performance, Saturday seemed like a dramatic improvement.
Tigers starter Michael Fulmer pitched to contact and worked deep in the game after his offense gave him a big early lead.
Meanwhile, Blue Jays starter Francisco Liriano seemed to acquire whatever had afflicted Tigers' pitchers on Friday.
