The 2014 Detroit Tigers did it again!
Kidding, of course.
Max Scherzer and Anibal Sanchez, who both played on that now-infamous Tigers team, became World Series champions Wednesday night when the Washington Nationals beat the Houston Astros, 6-2, in Game 7 of the World Series.
Scherzer started the game for the Nationals, who won their first championship in franchise history. He took a no-decision after giving up two runs on seven hits in five innings in Houston.
