Former Detroit Tiger Max Scherzer is one of three finalists for the National League Cy Young Award, the Baseball Writers Association of American announced Monday night.
Scherzer, 33, has twice won the Cy Young, first with the Tigers in 2013 and then with the Washington Nationals last year.
He's been stellar since signing a seven-year, $210 million contract with the Nationals after the 2014 season.
No current Tigers were finalists for any of the awards.
Winners will be unveiled nightly starting next week.
