Matt Hall was good again in this one, but one inning spoiled his night. Hall struck out eight, but allowed eight hits, including a three-run fifth by the Bats. The Hens scored one in the first, then two more in the sixth when they loaded the bases. A groundout from Jason Krizan scored Dixon Machado, and Mikie Mahtook dumped a double into left that plated Christin Stewart. Unfortunately, a throwing error from Dixon Machado keyed off a two-run inning by the Bats against Johnny Barbato, and the Hens couldn’t answer back.
