SEATTLE -- Finally, some good injury news for the battered Tigers.
Leonys Martin further tested his injured hamstring, but the results weren't enough to convince the Tigers he's ready to come off the disabled list.
A more comprehensive test is scheduled to come on Friday.
His replacement recently in center field, JaCoby Jones, showed no effects Thursday from a hip contusion he sustained during Wednesday's loss to Cleveland, which ended Detroit's homestand.
"Totally good to go," manager Ron Gardenhire said about Jones before Thursday's series opener at the Mariners, "which is good news for us.
