CHICAGO -- Mario Impemba and Rod Allen, the Detroit Tigers two primary television announcers, were absent from Wednesday's broadcast after getting into a physical altercation following Tuesday night's game, The Athletic reported on Thursday.
Impemba and Allen broadcast the first two games of the series on Monday and Tuesday but were not on the air for Wednesday's series finale against the Chicago White Sox.
Matt Shepard and Kirk Gibson arrived in Chicago Wednesday to take their place.
FOX Sports Detroit, which owns the rights to broadcast Tigers games, has not responded to a request for comment from MLive.
