Mariners 10, Tigers 2; Seattle holds Tigers to five hits

Drew VerHagen was called up for a starting assignment, and was solid the first time through the order before things fell apart in the third. The flood gates opened as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Tigers by a score of 10- 2 at Seattle.

The Tigers actually held a lead in the game when John Hicks homered to open the scoring in the top of the third inning, but the lead would prove to be short lived. An error by Niko Goodrum allowed the tying run to score and left the bases loaded for Beckham in the bottom of the third inning.
