Live updates: Mize's evening done in 3-3 game

BOTTOM OF FIFTH

Casey Mize's evening is done.

And, overall, it was a positive first impression.

The White Sox came back to score two runs off Mize in the 5th inning, tying the game 3-3.

Zack Collins doubled to open the inning, but Mize struck out Adam Engel.

Tim Anderson, who else, singled in Collins with a finely placed dart between third base and shortstop.

Anderson then stole second, and Yoan Moncada singled to right, scoring Anderson. Moncada advanced to second on an error to right fielder Jorge Bonifacio.

Manager Ron Gardenhire came out to replace Mize, who wound up pitching 4 1/3 innings, and allowing 7 hits, 3 earned runs and 0 walks, while striking out 7.
