Two former Tigers helped the White Sox chip into the Tigers big lead in the fourth inning, as Alex Avila drew a two-out walk and Avisail Garcia singled back up the middle before J.B Shuck brought Avila home with a single to right field.
J.D. Martinez didn't get the ball back into the infield with any urgency, allowing Avila to score and being charged with an error as Garcia moved up to third and Shuck to second. Tyler Saladino plated both of them with a single to center field.
