A depleted rotation features Anibal Sanchez on the mound tonight for the Tigers, who have dropped 12 of their past 14 games.
Sanchez has endured back-to-back rough outings. He lasted just five pitches in Kansas City, courtesy of a line drive to the leg. Then Toronto hammered him for 12 hits on Sunday.
In the top of the first, Sanchez will face White Sox third baseman Yolmer Sanchez, second baseman Yoan Moncada and first baseman Jose Abreu.
The Tigers will be out to snap a six-game losing streak as they continue their four-game series with the Chicago White Sox on Friday at Comerica Park.
