Top 8th: Tigers bullpen holds Jays
A pair of Tigers relievers kept the Blue Jays scoreless in the top of the eighth inning. Left-hander Blaine Hardy got Justin Smoak to ground out to third baseman Nick Castellanos, before walking Michael Saunders. Bobby Parnell then entered, and got Devon Travis to ground into an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play. After seven and a half, the Tigers remain down 2-0. Castellanos, Justin Upton and Jarrod Saltalamacchia are due up for the Tigers.
Bottom 7th: Tigers still asleep at dish
