Mike Aviles flew out to center field to lead off the inning. Switch-hitter Jarrod Saltalamacchia singled to left - - batting from the right side against the righty Wright for the second straight at-bat. Tyler Collins struck out before Ian Kinsler flew out to center field to end the inning. Going to the bottom of the fourth, the Tigers remain ahead 4-3.
Bottom 3rd: Papi goes yard
The game got a lot closer in the bottom of the third. Brock Holt hit a line drive right to Miguel Cabrera at first to lead off the inning.
