Live Tigers blog: Tigers win 7th straight

The Tigers won their seventh in a row Tuesday, 11-5 over the White Sox in the the first of a three-game set.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Tigers (58-48) sent nine batters to the plate, scoring six times, to secure the win for Anibal Sanchez (6-11). Miguel Cabrera added a two-run home run in the sixth — his 24th — making it 8-1. In the bottom of the eighth, Victor Martinez hit his 18th of the season, to put the Tigers up 11-4.

Sanchez went six innings, allowing a run on six hits while striking out two and walking three.
