The Tigers lost the first of a three-game series to the Rangers, 5-3 on Friday at Comerica Park.
The win is the 10th in a row for the Rangers (23-20) and their seventh in a row at Comerica.
Down 5-2 to start the bottom of the ninth, the Tigers got a one-out single from Jose Iglesias -- who took second on defensive indifference. Tyler Collins worked a nine-pitch at-bat, eventually walking to bring up J.D. Martinez, who was the tying run.
Martinez reached safely on an error on Elvis Andrus, which allowed Iglesias to score, making it a two-run game.
