The Tigers are running out of time in this one. White Sox reliever Nate Jones, in his first full inning of work after getting the third out in the top of the seventh, set the Tigers down 1-2-3. He got Jose Iglesias to line out to right, before Miguel Cabrera grounded out to first. Jones then struck out Victor Martinez swinging to end the half inning. Going to the bottom of the eighth, the White Sox have a 2-0 lead. Buck Farmer will take the mound for the Tigers to start the half inning.
Tigers starter Matt Boyd went seven innings, allowing two runs on eight hits while striking out six and walking one.
