Two solo homers leads Cleveland to a 2-1 victory, both coming off Justin Verlander.
The Tigers lost for the fifth time in seven games.
Cleveland starter Josh Tomlin earned the win. He retired 14 straight Tigers batters at one point and had a one-hitter through five innings.
Justin Upton's RBI double tied the game in the sixth, but Verlander relinquished a solo home run to Marlon Byrd on the first pitch of the seventh.
Bottom 9: Allen gets the save
In the Tigers' final at-bat, Miguel Cabrera jumped ahead 2-0 in the count off Indians reliever Cody Allen, but popped out into foul territory.
